Dear Northern Readers,
George, "Little Mac" McClellan has lost to Abraham Lincoln in the 1864 presidential election. Lincoln beats McClellan by a long shot. Via electoral votes, Lincoln gets 212 votes while McClellan gets only 21 votes from 3 states. The three states are Delaware, Kentucky, and New Jersey. Via popular votes, Lincoln gets 2.3 million votes while McClellan 1.8 million votes. Via military votes, interestingly enough former General McClellan gets 33,748 votes while Lincoln gets 116,887 votes. Both wanted to end the war but Lincoln made a better case.
